Our delivery promise
We ship to the United States, United Kingdom, European Union, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, and many more destinations.
- Delivery time: We will dispatch your product within 24 hours, but actual delivery time might range from 5-15 business days depending on destination
- Shipping cost: We deliver worldwide for free. However, you might still have to pay import duties and taxes (including VAT) once the parcel reaches your destination country. These fees are the responsibility of the customer. Please carefully read the next section to understand what it means.
A Note About Import Duties & Taxes
Your order price at checkout is the price you pay us. However, because we ship internationally from various locations to bring you the best products, your country's customs authority may charge import duties, VAT, or other taxes when your package arrives.
What does this mean for you?
- These charges are determined by your country's customs authority, not by Maison Mayara.
- The amount varies based on your country's import rules and the value of your order.
- You may be asked to pay these fees upon delivery or before your package is released.
- Refusal of Delivery: If you refuse to pay these duties/taxes and the package is destroyed by customs or not returned to us in good condition, we cannot issue a refund. The cost of the product and original shipping is non-refundable in cases of refused delivery due to unpaid customs fees.
Why don't we collect these fees at checkout?
We work with carefully selected suppliers and artisans worldwide to curate exceptional products at competitive prices. The ever-changing landscape of international customs regulations across 100+ countries makes it impractical for us to calculate and collect these fees accurately. Rather than overcharge you with inflated estimates, we've chosen transparency: you pay the product price to us, and any local import fees directly to your customs authority.

Why don't you include duties in the price?
We source from artisan suppliers worldwide to bring you the best quality at competitive prices. Because import regulations vary dramatically across countries and change frequently, we cannot accurately calculate these fees. Rather than overcharge with inflated estimates, we show you transparent product pricing and leave local taxes to local authorities.
How much will I have to pay in customs fees?
This depends on your country's regulations. As a general guide:
- Australia/NZ: Often nothing on orders under ~$1,000 AUD
- UK: 20% VAT on orders over £135
- EU: 19-25% VAT depending on country
- US: Duties apply on all international shipments
- Canada: GST/HST plus potential duties
We recommend checking with your local customs authority for precise information.
What happens if I refuse to pay customs fees?
Your package may be returned to us or destroyed by customs. If the package is successfully returned to us, we can only refund the product cost minus shipping and any fees we incur. We will not be able to refund you if the package was destroyed by customs or not returned to us in good condition.
Can I get a refund on customs fees if I return my order?
Customs fees are collected by your government, not by us, so we cannot refund them. You may be able to claim a refund directly from your customs authority—check your local procedures.
Do you offer DDP (Delivered Duty Paid) shipping?
Not at this time. We're exploring options to offer this in the future as we grow.
